Representatives of the Commissariat had a pleasure to welcome members of the Third Committee of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly at the premises of the Commissariat for Refugees and Migration of the Republic of Serbia.

Members of the Delegation, with Isabel Santos (MP, Portugal) as the chairperson, visited Commissariat for Refugees and Migration of the Republic of Serbia on Wednesday, 3 February of the year of 2016. They expressed intention to meet representatives of the Commissariat during delegation’s working visit to Serbia and discuss Serbia’s response to the refugee crisis and asylum sistem in our country. Our representatives introduced them with the current situation in the field of asylum and activities regarding the collection and exchange of information, as well as with the other international obligations of the Republic of Serbia, agreed at the Western Balkans Route Leader`s Meeting in Brussels.

At the forthcoming winter session of the OSCE PA in Vienna which will be held from 25-26 February, Parliamentarians from across the OSCE area are expected to debate the crisis of migrants and refugees, and all three committees of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly will present ideas for future reports and resolutions.
