Information on the forthcoming parliamentary elections in the Republic of Croatia

Regarding the forthcoming elections in the Republic of Croatia please note the following:

The voting in the Republic of Serbia is to be held at 15 polling stations on 24 and 25 November, 2007.

Regarding the polling stations in Belgrade, please note that all voters whose surnames start with letters А to М (alphabet) are to vote on the polling stations 1 and 2 at the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia in Belgrade, Kneza Milosa 62, while all voters whose surnames start with letters N to Ž are to vote on polling stations 3 and 4 at the Consular Section of the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia, Sime Lozanica 11 (former Mirka Tomica street).

Free transportation to the polling stations is to be organized for the largest proportion of the registered voters. Location and the time of the bus departure shall be announced through the media or municipal trustees.

Free transportation is to be organized through the refugee association for persons who would like to vote in the Republic of Croatia. These persons must contact the associations in advance: persons who travel to Lika should contact the Association of Serbs from Croatia; telephone 011/323-1994, to Dalmatia should contact the Demokratska inicijativa za Knin Association; telephone 063/361-365, and to Banija and Kordun should contact the Assistance Association for Refugees from Croatia; telephone 063/886-8072.

Free transportation is organized for Sibenik-Knin district, Zadar district and Lika-Senj district. In case there are enough interested persons who registered to vote in locations beyond the mentioned districts, there is a possibility of free transportation to those places, too. Departure to the Republic of Croatia is scheduled for 23 November, and the return to the Republic of Serbia for 25 November, 2007.

All persons who want to vote in the Republic of Croatia must possess a valid passport.

It is suggested that all interested persons should check if they are on the polling list before their departure to the Republic of Croatia. This can be done through the internet, on the following web page: www.uprava.hr.

Please note that certain changes are possible and if so they shall be disseminated through the media or the municipal trustees.
