In a few months Roma from Branicevo district will get an educational centre which is to be located in the old barracks premises in Pozarevac, thanks to donation of the Japanese Government amounting to EUR 60, 000. In the Educational Centre all refugees and IDPs will be assisted as well as all other Roma in exercising their rights and 29 workshops are to be organized, too.

 

Roma will learn how to use PC and the courses and seminars on CV writing will be organized, while the adults and children who didn’t complete elementary and secondary school are to be educated. Special attention will be devoted to preschool children so they could learn the Serbian and English language in order to be able to attend schools on regular bases like all other children. The Educational Center is to implement projects aiming at the provision of durable solutions for refugee Roma families. There is a call for a donor who would provide funding for the construction of standard houses or flats for 22 families.
