80 million dinars in aid to be given to refugees and Internally Displaced Persons (IDP’s)
Deputy Prime Minister, Jovan Krkobabić to present contracts to 20 cities and municipalities

The Serbian Deputy Prime Minister in charge of social affairs will formally present to the representatives of 20 cities and municipalities, contracts associated with the Project, ˝Support for the CRS, aimed at refugees and IDP’s through the endorsment of local action plans,˝ on the 21st of May 2010.  The project, being financed by the UN High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) will pledge 80 million dinars to be distributed by the Commissariat for Refugees of the Republic of Serbia.

The project in question through the aquisition of households equipped with gardens and through the donation of building materials, will provide permanent and sustainable solutions to be instituted for 140 refugee families and IDP’s.

The ceremnoy at which the contracts are to be handed over will be held at 12 o’clock on Friday the 21st of may 2010 at the premisses of the Republic of Serbia, Nemanjina 6p, no. 11 on the 4th floor, conference hall no. 141.

Attending the ceremnoy will be the representatives of  the Delegation of the European Union in Serbia,  the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, the Organization for Security and Cooperation, U.S. Embassy representatives, the High Commissioner for Refugees and representatives of  the institutions of the Republic of Serbia and Vojvodina.
