14th May 2010 – The agrement for the construction of 20 housing units was today ratified  before the court in Pozarevac in relation to the program, ˝Social housing in secure conditions.˝

The housing units will be constructed in conjunction with the specifications of the project, ˝Support for the integration of refugees and the improvement of the living conditions of internally displaced persons in Serbia,˝concluded between the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, the Commissioner for Refugees, Centre for Social Welfare and the city of Pozarevac.

Funds for this project have been secured from the National Investment Plan established by the Budget Law of the Republic of Serbia for the year of 2010.   Underway is the search for a tender for public procurement and  the selection of the best bidder.  It is expected that construction of these housing units will commence in the autumn of this year.
