18th May 2010 – A meeting was held in the Housing Center in Belgrade of the Commission for the selection of beneficiaries of the housing units in the building of social housing in protected conditions, built on the territory of Negotin from resources provided by the European Union and implemented by the UNHCR.

Participating in the work of the committee were, the representatives of the municipality of Negotin, the Centre for Social Welfare of the Municipality of Negotin, UNHCR, Housing Center and the Commissariat for Refugees. 

The Commission convened on the 17th and 18th of May 2010, reviewing a total of 29 applications. From the collective center, ˝Inex Krajina, ˝ applications were filed by 25 refugees and internally displaced persons and families alongside the applications filed by 4 families from the vulnerable section of the local population.

The Commission has identified families of applicants meeting the requirements in accordance with the Regulations, applications with incomplete documentation, and requests from families that do not qualify for this type of housing. It was agreed that the families will be notified by mail as to the necessary amendments referring to their documentation, and subsequently that a date will be set for the next meeting of the Commission.
