The Commissariat for Refugees in cooperation with the Danish Refugee Council, adhering to the project, "Support for refugees and internally displaced persons

in Serbia," being financed by the EU, is organizing the fourth work meeting under the title of, "Refugees and Internally displaced persons in Serbia 2010 –

Opportunities and Constraints."

The meeting is to be held between the 23rd and 24th of June 2010 at the hotel Čigota, in Zlatibor and will be attended by members of the international

community, the diplomatic core of embassies accredited in the Republic of Serbia, representatives of the countries participating in the conference "Durable

solutions for refugees and internally displaced persons – regional cooperation", relevant ministries and government institutions of the city of  Belgrade, municipal

presidents and majors, alongside refugee trustees from 165 municipalities /cities. 

The meeting will place particular focus on the following topics: The creation of a regional project in accordance with the referrals reviewed at the conference,

"Durable solutions for refugees and internally displaced persons – regional cooperation", cooperation in relation to questions on asylum and readmission as

concerns the MAARI initiative, the introduction of the project, "Support for refugees and internally displaced persons in Serbia", which is being funded through

the resources of the EU and is being implemented by the Danish Council for Refugees, consideration of the law concerning changes and amendments to the law

on refugees, the implementation of local action plans and the realization of the IPA Project.
