28th July 2010 – An agreement of cooperation for the construction of 15 housing units in Sevojno within the frame work of IPA 2008, was signed in Užice amongst the representatives of the City of Užice, the Commissariat for Refugees, the Centre for Social Work of the City of Užice and the Association of Samaritan Workers. Those attending the signing ceremony were: Mr. Jovan Marković, major of the City of Užice, Mr. Petar Anđić, adviser to the Commissariat for Refugees, Mrs. Ljiljana Tucović, deputy chief of the Centre for Social Work of the City of Užice and Mr. Života de Luka, project coordinator for the Association of Samaritan Workers. The signed agreement establishes the provisions for the construction of 15 housing units intended for social housing in protected conditions, of which 12 housing units will be reserved for the families of refugees and internally displaced persons from Kosovo and Metohija currently being housed in Collective Centers. The remaining 3 housing units are intended for the accommodation of the local, socially vulnerable persons and families.
Resources for the aforementioned project are being made available by the European Union through the Delegation of the EU in the Republic of Serbia while the implementing partner of the project in question will be the Association of Samaritan Workers. In addition, the city of Užice will make a financial contribution to the project amounting to 20, 000 euros or the local, Dinar equivalent taken from the budgetary resources of the city of Užice during the course of 2010 and 2011. The agreement in question was certified by the Basic Court in Užice.
