Leskovac, 26th October 2010 – The Commission for the selection of beneficiaries has compiled three final lists of priority concerning the soon to be beneficiaries of a newly constructed building intended for use as social housing in protected conditions. The building is being built in the city of Leskovac in connection with the project, “Support for Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons in Serbia,” financed out of the IPA 2007 funds and is being completed by the UNHCR/Housing Centre in the years 2009/2010. The project plans for the construction of a building with 20 housing units out of which 16 are to be reserved for the socially vulnerable, refugee and internally displaced persons from Collective Centres and private accommodation, while the remaining 4 units are reserved for the local, socially vulnerable population. A final version of the aforementioned lists was compiled and announced on the 27th of October 2010, being advertised on the bulletin boards of the Collective Centre “Motel Atina”, the city’s directorate building and the Centre for Social Employment in Leskovac.
