Thursday, July 21, 2011 –A workshop, organized by the Commissariat for Refugees of the Republic of Serbia in cooperation with the UNHCR Office in Belgrade, during which the representatives of the Ministry for Regional Development, Forestry and Water Management of the Republic of Croatia presented the Housing Care Program, the Law on Areas of Special State Concern and the purchase of state-owned apartments, took place.
The representatives of the Commissariat for Refugees of the Republic of Serbia, OSCE, BPRM Office of the Embassy of the United States of America and NGO’s dealing with human rights issues and the provision of legal aid in the Republic of Serbia discussed the new deadline for housing care program outside of area of special state concern in accordance to the Decision on housing care of the returnees – former tenancy rights, the sale of state owned apartments which are at the disposal of the Ministry for Regional Development, Forestry and Water Management of the Republic of Croatia and the Law on the changes and additions to the Law on Areas of Special State Concern.
