Monday, October 17, 2011 – The keys to three pre-fabricated houses in Sremska Mitrovica, as a part of the Project “Support to Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons in Serbia”, financed by EU fund, were handed to the beneficiaries.

The Project is implemented by a German NGO “HELP”, in cooperation with the City of Sremska Mitrovica, the Commissariat for Refugees of the Republic of Serbia and UNHCR.

The representatives of the Commissariat for Refugees of the Republic of Serbia, HELP, UNHCR and the City of Sremska Mitrovica used this opportunity to visit some of the 43 families which were given building materials for finalization or adaptation of inappropriate housing units.  

The value of the Project was just over € 200,000 while the City of Sremska Mitrovica invested € 23,625. The institution beneficiary is the Commissariat for Refugees of the Republic of Serbia.
