On Friday, the 20th of April 2012, the representatives of the U.S. Bureau for Population Refugees and Migration , together with the representatives of Commissariat for Refugees of the Republic of Serbia, the UN High Commissioner for Refugees and the represenatives of the City of Belgarde, presented the keys of 15 housing units intended for providing social housing within a supportive environment to their respective beneficiaries.
The construction of the housing units was funded by the U.S.Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration, while the City of Belgrade provided the necessary infrastructure and land. The investment value of the project is $ 660,000.
The project has enabled some 20 families, 58 family members in total, from the city of Belgrade, to leave the collective centers wherein they had been accommodated for a number of years.
