Thanks to the funding allocated from the budget of the Republic of Serbia during 2013. for meeting the housing needs and improvement of the economic situation of refugees and internally displaced persons, 1.500 families received housing solution or economic empowerment.

 

 

For this purpose from the budget of the Republic of Serbia was allocated 575 million RSD for funding activities in local action plans to improve the situation of refugees and internally displaced persons in the territory of local governments that have submitted requests for the allocation of this aid.

 

 

During 2013. eight public calls were conducted. 91 municipalities/cities received funds to purchase 733 packages of building materials, 166 households and 597 packages for economic empowerment.

 

 

The total number of families that will receive aid for resolving housing issues and economic empowerment during 2013. will certainly be much higher. Apart from the programs financed by the budget of the Republic of Serbia there are numerous programs carried out by donors.
