Around 200 families of refugees, internally displaced persons and returnees under the readmission agreement will receive assistance in resolving housing issues, economic empowerment and social inclusion in the community of return. Support for these families is provided under the project of support to local action plans funded by the European Union in the amount of 1.7 million EUR. This project is only one of the three existing components of the program "Support to the implementation of strategies for IDPs, refugees and returnees" worth 5.4 million EUR.

After the announced public invitation more than 20 municipalities and cities in Serbia has applied for the allocation of these funds, while 15 of them were successful and signed contracts with the EU Delegation in Serbia.

 

 

The mentioned funds are going to be spent on the donation of construction materials for the completion and renovation of the inadequate housing facilities, donation and setting of prefabricated houses, purchase of tools, machines and equipment with the aim of self-employment of beneficiaries, additional training and retraining for occupations in the labor market, as well as on programs aimed at improving the social inclusion of returnees under the readmission agreement in the local community.

We invite all interested users from the territory of Arilje,  Zemun, Kikinda , Mladenovac, Novi Pazar, Zemun, Petrovac na Mlavi, Tutin, Ub, Vrnjačka banja, Vršac, Žabalj, Žitoradja, Zrenjanin and Zvezdara to contact the trustee for refugees and migration in their municipalities and cities about available projects and deadlines for submission of tender documents.
