Closing conference of the European Network of Asylum Reception Organisations (ENARO) was held in Belgrade from 27 to 29 November 2013.
Commissariat for Refugees and Migration hosted this important meeting, which brought together experts on asylum of the member countries. Representatives of the national reception agencies shared their experiences in this field, and the final part of the conference was the visit to the Asylum Centre in Banja Koviljaca.
The representatives of the participating countries had the opportunity to compare best practices in daily work, exchange useful experiences on overcoming the challenges and deepen the cooperation.
One of the conclusions of the conference is that all countries respect the rights of asylum seekers and continuously develop and improve the system and asylum policy. This event was important for Serbia, because this is one of the basic courses of action in the process of joining the European Union.
ENARO is a network for cooperation of the asylum reception organizations in 19 European countries. Twice each year representatives of the countries visit one of the member countries to attend the practical courses. Each exchange is based on a central topic for discussion and exchange of experience.
