The Croatian Government has extended the deadline for cancellation or renewal of residence until the end of 2014, the Association of Refugee Associations in Croatia announced.

The Association stated that they were informed about this by Milorad Knezevic, president of the Serbian National Council in Croatia.

Croatian Law on Residence provides the procedure to delete records from the residence of all those citizens living outside the country, unless they report themselves to the relevant police authority in area they reside or consulates, till 29 December this year.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, due to the large number of refugee Serbs, sought from Croatia to delay the implementation of some provisions of the law.
