Commissariat for Refugees and Migrations of the Republic of Serbia provided during 2013 assistance in transportation of personal belongings for 30 returnee families. Three families have returned to Bosnia and Herzegovina and 27 in the Republic of Croatia. Budget funds earmarked for this purpose are 7.5 million RSD.

It is important for returnees to know that the requirement for this type of help is staying in another country for at least 12 months before moving to the country of origin, and it is allowed to move only used items from their homes. They need documents confirming previous stay abroad, proof of registered residence in the country of return, a list of used household items, and for returnees to Croatia a statement of the date of relocation to Croatia and that person is the owner of used items, and authorization for the shipping to Croatia.

Since January 2012 the Commissariat has taken the responsibility to assist returnees in the transportation of things to their countries of origin. Procedures have been established to facilitate the process of transport of goods. Return to the Republic of Croatia is carried out in collaboration with the Ministry of Regional Development and EU Funds and the Red Cross of the Republic of Croatia, and return to Bosnia and Herzegovina is supported by the Office of the Republika Srpska in Belgrade.
