Kladovo: Eight families moved into the apartments

A total of eight families, six families of most vulnerable refugees and IDPs accommodated in collective center "Karatas " in Kladovo and two families of socially vulnerable local population, on Wednesday 5 February 2014. moved into their apartments.

They moved into the residential units of social housing in a supportive environment.

Commissariat for Refugees and Migration of the Republic of Serbia and the Danish Refugee Council in cooperation with the municipality of Kladovo have realized from the European Union project component "Social housing in a supportive environment" within the project "Support to the implementation of strategies for IDPs , refugees and returnees in Serbia".

This project is funded by the European Union through the European Union Delegation to the Republic of Serbia.

 

 

Kladovo Municipality participated in the project by donating the building plot with all necessary infrastructure, required urban technical documentation and financing connections to the existing infrastructure.

A building block with approximate area of 420 square meters is consisted of eight residential units of approximately 24 to 50 square meters and a common room for social activities.

The owner and the holder of tenancy rights is the municipality of Kladovo. A building block of the investment value of 162,000 EUR will be managed by the Centre for Social Work, which will be responsible for its proper use.
