During 2013 the civil society projects funded with 13 million RSD

Commissariat for Refugees and Migrations of the Republic of Serbia from budget funds financed a number of projects of non-governmental organizations.

Projects are usually financed for refugees from former Yugoslavia and internally displaced persons from Kosovo and Metohija. After gaining competencies in the field of asylum and readmission, Commissariat allocates amount of its funds for NGO projects dealing with returnees under readmission agreement and asylum seekers.

Funded projects are aimed at preserving the cultural identity of end users, research relevant for determining the condition and needs of the user population in the process of integration and re-integration and achievement of sustainable return.

Commissariat intends to support programs of legal and other assistance, programs to improve awareness in the areas of importance to the beneficiary population, as well as programs aimed at improving the situation of refugees, internally displaced persons, asylum seekers and returnees under the readmission agreement.

During 2013 three public calls were issued for funding programs of importance to the population of refugees, internally displaced persons, asylum seekers and returnees under the readmission agreement. For this purpose the Commissariat for Refugees and Migration allocated 13 million RSD.
