On 26 February 2014 representatives of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation visited the Asylum Centre in Obrenovac.

This visit is part of a national project “Support to the National Coordination for Reintegration of Returnees”- Phase II, funded by the SDC , which aims to improve the asylum system and readmission in Serbia.

Vladimir Cucić, Commissioner for Refugees and Migrations, informed representatives of SDC with the current situation in the field of asylum and facilities of the Commissariat for Refugees and Migrations to accommodate asylum seekers and expressed his gratitude for the support provided to the Republic of Serbia.

Isabel Perich, director of the SDC in Serbia, praised the efforts of the Commissariat in finding appropriate solutions to overcome the challenges due to the large influx of asylum seekers in Serbia. At the end of the visit, representatives of both institutions have expressed satisfaction with the successful cooperation.
