Henshaw said that the United States are dedicated to millions of refugees around the world, including those in Serbia and the region, and are actively involved in solving the problems of refugees and displaced persons in order to provide adequate housing solutions to those who need a roof over their heads. The United States has donated 20 million dollars for the Regional Housing Programme, which will provide permanent housing for 74,000 refugees and displaced persons in the region, including Serbia.
Danijela Popovic Roko reminded that the collective center PIM "Krnjača" was opened in 1992 and served to accommodate most vulnerable refugees.

It is expected by the end of 2016 that PIM "Krnjača" is evicted with the help of donors and funds of the Commissariat for Refugees and Migration. The same is planned for the other collective centers. All residents of collective centers during the eviction are offered durable solutions - packages of building materials to complete construction of started houses, rural households and social housing in protected conditions"- said Popovic Roko and thanked the United States for the assistance they provide for the care of refugees and IDPs.
Jasmina Ivanovic said that the collective center PIM "Krnjača", beside refugees and IDPs, accommodates people evacuated from flooded areas, mostly from Obrenovac. According to her, in this collective center found shelter 96 people from the flood affected areas - 74 adults and 22 children.
