Commissariat for Refugees and Migration of the Republic of Serbia intensifies information campaign for the Regional Housing Programme

New email address for communication with beneficiaries

Belgrade, 23 December 2014 - Regional Housing Programme of the Republic of Serbia (RHP), whose implementation started and in the next five years aims to house 16,780 of the most vulnerable refugee families in Serbia, got a new email address through which all interested beneficiaries will be able to communicate with the Commissariat and ask questions that interest them.

The new email address is rhpinfo@kirs.gov.rs, and officials of the Commissariat will answer all the questions concerning the implementation of the Regional Housing Program. Beneficiaries of the program so far have communicated with the Commissariat for Refugees and Migration through the official Facebook page of the Commissariat, and in order to fully inform the beneficiaries Facebook page will be opened.

Some of the questions that beneficiaries and potential beneficiaries of the Program will be able to get answers are when and which municipalities / cities will be covered by the Program; which housing solutions are designed for a specific city / municipality; which documents to submit; at what stage is the implementation of a sub-project of the Program...

The aim of introducing a new email address for communication with RHP beneficiaries is to intensify the information campaign, which monitors the implementation of the Regional housing program in Serbia and the greater availability of all necessary information to potential beneficiaries.

Regional housing program (RHP) is a joint multi-annual program of the Republic of Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and the Republic of Croatian, which aims to provide permanent housing solutions for about 27,000 of the most vulnerable refugee families, or about 74,000 people in the region. Of this number, 16,780 families are in Serbia, or, more precisely, about 45,000 people. RHP of the Republic of Serbia will be implemented over the next five years through several sub-projects.

Regional housing program of the Republic of Serbia is worth 330 million EUR. Regional housing program of all four countries is worth 584 million EUR and is funded by the European Union, which is the largest donor, the United States, Germany, Italy, Norway, Switzerland, Denmark, Turkey, Luxembourg, Cyprus, Romania, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary.
