The 6th meeting of the Steering Committee of the Regional Housing Programme (RHP) and the 10th meeting of the Assembly of Donors of the RHP Fund took place on 29-30 June 2015 in Podgorica, Montenegro.

CEBs Governor Rolf Wenzel said that „even though the RHP is a complex Programme, the Partner Countries have performed very well” and stressed that the focus should be on delivery, so as to achieve more results on the ground.

Donors, Partner Countries and international stakeholders agreed that, despite multiple challenges, the RHP was making good progress. In 2014, the Partner Countries delivered the first homes to beneficiaries.

This yearly gathering also offered the opportunity for RHP stakeholders to see concrete progress on the ground. An RHP delegation visited the construction site of a future apartment building in Niksic, which will, in a year’s time, accommodate 62 internally displaced or displaced families. The delegation also visited Konik Camp where the construction works of two buildings, which will accommodate 120 vulnerable families, are about to be launched.

The next RHP Steering Committee meeting will be held in Paris on 1st December 2015.
