Romania donated humanitarian aid for migrants

Romania has donated significant humanitarian aid to Serbia to help care for migrants.

Donation was delivered on 12 October 2015 and includes 500 folding beds, 500 mattresses, 1,000 blankets, 2,000 bedclothes, 1,000 pillowcases, 65 polypropylene bags and 2,500 sleeping bags.

The donation amounts to 180,000 euros and will be distributed to the centers with the increased influx of migrants.

Daniel Banu, ambassador of Romania, stressed the symbolism of the donation as an act of the Romanian solidarity with Serbia and thanked everyone who participated in the storage of the donation.

Ivan Gerginov, Assistant Commissioner for Refugees and Migration, thanked the ambassador for the donation and reiterated that this aid is more than welcome having in mind the cold days to come.
