The Republic of Serbia has sufficient capacity to provide all necessary assistance to migrants who pass through Serbia. All permanent and One Stop Centers for assisting migrants and asylum seekers are provided with sufficient food, warm clothing and footwear, the conditions for the provision of medical assistance, as well as all information about the asylum procedure.
Commissariat for Refugees and Migration urges the civil society organizations that all the migrants should be addressing the institutions of the system. When it comes to Belgrade, Center for asylum seekers in Krnjaca has sufficient accommodation space, food, warm clothes and shoes, so there is no reason why all registered migrants wouldn`t be accomodated in that Centre and be given all the assistance guaranteed by law.
Migrants who do not seek help from state institutions and those who are not registered, are under great risk of being victims of smuggling and trafficking.
All the facilities for accommodation of migrants are provided with adequate heating and sanitation and there are no health problems caused by cold. Commissariat for Refugees and Migration would like to thank the non-governmental sector for helping the Republic of Serbia in providing the necessary assistance and for being available to the migrants and asylum seekers.
