The UN Special Rapporteur on the Human Rights of Internally Displaced Persons Chaloka Beyani visited the Commissariat for Refugees and Migration.

Svetlana Velimirović, Deputy Commissioner and Assistant Commissioner Danijela Popović Rocco familiarized the Special Rapporteur with the progress that has been made regarding the protection and assistance provided to all internally displaced persons, and the possibilities that exist for establishing durable solutions for internally displaced persons.

The meeting was organized within the visit of the Special Rapporteur on Serbia to review the results and monitor the implementation of recommendations from a report submitted to the Human Rights Council of the United Nations after his previous visit to Serbia in October 2013.
