Children from “Branko Pesic“ Elementary School, attended also by migrant children, received smart boards, projectors, laptops and backpacks
Pupils from “Branko Pesic“ Elementary School received backpacks and school material. The children got two smart boards, two projectors, six laptops and a hundred and thirty backpacks. Equipment was provided through the „Support to the Serbian educational system in response to the refugee crisis“ project, financed by the US Embassy in Serbia.
Handover ceremony was attended by Minister of Labor, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs Mr. Zoran Djordjevic, Minister of Defense Mr. Aleksandar Vulin, Commissioner for Refugees and Migration of the Republic of Serbia Mr. Vladimir Cucic, US Ambassador to Serbia Mr. Kyle Scott, Assistant for preschool and elementary education of the Minister of Education, Science and Technological Development Ms. Vesna Nedeljkovic, Mr. Michel Saint-Lot UNICEF Representative in the Republic of Serbia.
The project is implemented by Danish Refugee Council in Serbia in collaboration with Ministry of Labor, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs, Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development, Commissariat for Refugees and Migration of the Republic of Serbia and UNICEF.
