In order to mark the International Migrants Day on the 18th of December, Commissariat for Refugees and Migration organized and supported a series of festivities throughout Serbia.
President of the Municipality of Bosilegrad visited the town’s reception center, while the presidents of various municipalities and towns in Serbia, where asylum and reception centers are located, hosted the managers of the centers accompanied by the representatives of migrants who wished to express their gratitute for the support and hospitality they continually receive in local communities.

In order to celebrate the principles of tolerance and multiculturalism, President of the Municipality of Tutin, Kenan Hota, hosted a delegation of migrants, employees and the manager of AC Tutin.
In the tournament specially organized for this occasion, migrants from AC Tutin demonstrated that they are versed in chess, dominos and various board games.

Elemenatry school "Branko Pesic" in Zemun celebrated the International Migrants Day through the interactive workshop with a theme "Who We Are". Migrant schoolers from Avghanistan, Iraq, Iran, Pakistan and India presented their countries of origin and together with their peers from Serbia participated in the workshop for crafting symbols and emblems. Traditional music and dance from Avghanistan were also presented.
Migrant schoolers from RC "Divljana" decorated the school’s Christmas tree in elementary school "Ljupce Spanac" in Bela Palanka.
Children from "The 12th of December" elementary school visited their migrant peers in AC Sjenica and brought them candy and warm winter clothing.
