Commissariat for Refugees and Migration of the Republic of Serbia organized a series of interactive New Year’s plays and gifts for migrant children from the reception and asylum centers throughout Serbia. 

Migrant children from the centers in Subotica, Banja Koviljaca, Dimitrovgrad, Kikinda enjoyed the performance of actors from the Belgrade association “Hajde obraduj dan (HOD).” 

The interactive, educational plays feature universal topics of love, courage, goodness and joy which eradicate language, cultural and national barriers.

The culmination of the event was the arrival of Santa Claus, who distributed New Year’s presents.

The holiday themed performances in the asylum and reception centers throughout the country are financed from the Swiss government project „Support to migration management in the Republic of Serbia.“
