Тoday at 5:15 p.m. local time, the Iranian New Year - Norooz was symbolically marked throughout the reception centers in Serbia among the Iranian and Afghani nationals.

The first moments of the New Year, the Iranians typically spend in joyous celebration, singing and dancing. This was the case in the asylum center in Sjenica and several others in Serbia. With the sounds of traditional songs and food, migrants from Iran and Afghanistan celebrated the holiday, thus honoring life, nature and human values in a symbolic way, which at the same time have the roots in art, folklore and family customs.

Nou ruz connects many nations of different traditions, creating a sense of unity and solidarity, regardless of linguistic, historical, or religious differences between them.
