SCRM staff participated in the Viking 18 exercise from 16-26 April, 2018 in Belgrade. The exercise simultaneously took place at sites in Brazil, Bulgaria, Finland, Ireland, Serbia and Sweden. Viking 18 is organized by the Swedish Armed Forces, in cooperation with the Folke Bernadotte Academy and it includes 2 500 participants from 50 countries and 35 organizations.

SCRM staff was a part of the 4th Multinational Brigade under command of the Serbian Army, comprised of the members of armed forces of Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Macedonia, Moldavia, the U.S. and Sweden.

Viking 18 is the world’s most large-sized exercise of its kind with the aim to train and educate participants - civilian, military and police - to meet the challenges of current and future multidimensional crisis response and peace operations.
