In the spirit of Ramadan, the Turkish Agency for International Development and Cooperation (TIKA) in cooperation with the Commissariat for Refugees and Migration has organized a distribution of 350 packages of food and sweets for migrants accommodated in the Asylum Center in Krnjaca. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajic, Commissioner for Refugees and Miragtion Vladimir Cucic, Turkish Ambassador Tanju Biglic and TIKA Coordinator in Serbia Çağla Gültekin Toşbat handed in Ramadan packages.

"This is a nice gesture by Tika that goes along with Ramadan," said Commissioner Vladimir Cucic.

When it comes to the potential influx of migrants, the Commissioner stressed that there is no reason for any kind of concern because Turkey seriously adheres to the agreement. He added that Serbia already possesses the capacities and capabilities and it is prepared for an increased number of migrants, but for now nothing indicates that this will happen.

The Ambassador of Turkey pointed out that Ramadan is a month of good deeds.

"This type of assistance will continue. The relations between Serbia and Turkey will continue in this direction," the Ambassador said.

The TIKA coordinator in Serbia pointed out that this Agency prepared 1,200 packages of assistance not only to migrants in the Subotica Reception Center and the Center for Asylum in Krnjaca, but also for the most vulnerable persons throughout Serbia.
