Director of the Swiss Cooperation Office in Serbia visited Tutin and Sjenica

Director of the Swiss Cooperation Office in Serbia, Ursula Läubli, accompanied by the representatives of the Commissariat for Refugees and Migration, visited the two asylum centers in Tutin and Sjenica. The visit was organized within the framework of the migration partnership between Serbia and Switzerland, which was established in 2009.

The director of the Swiss Cooperation Office had the opportunity to see the accommodation conditions and the services provided to asylum seekers in Serbia and to talk directly to the asylum seekers about their position in Serbia and future plans.

Switzerland is continuously supporting projects that systematically strengthen state capacities for migration management in the Republic of Serbia. The Commissariat for Refugees and Migration and the Ministry of Internal Affairs are currently implementing Support to Migration Management in Serbia worth 800,000 Swiss francs. The aim of the project is to enhance the migration management system in the Republic of Serbia in accordance with international standards and legal framework of the EU, with particular reference to cooperation mechanisms and capacity building at the local level to ensure the protection of the rights of migrants.
