A ceremonial revealing of a joint mural in Mixaliste gathered all the organizers, partners and the creative team who worked together on this unique project.

Migrants from the centers in Obrenovac and Krnjaca participated in the workshops when the concept for the mural was defined, as well as in the painting of the mural, while women from the Asylum Center in Krnjaca exhibited handmade dresses.

In the music part of the program, the band from the Reception Center in Obrenovac performed several songs even in the Serbian language, while the outdoor bazaar displayed jewelery, paintings, decoupage and other pieces of art that migrants create in the workshops organized by Caritas, NSHC, Adra and many others.

The event was attended by the representatives of the Commissariat for Refugees and Migration, Ministry of Labor, Employment, Social and Veterans Affairs, UNHCR, as well numerous non-governmental organizations, students of the Belgrade School of Design and New Media, and artists and educators who supported this project.

On behalf of the Commissariat for Refugees and Migration Jelena Surlan highlighted that:
"We believe that such projects, based on the equality of all participants, raise awareness of the broadest public about vulnerable groups in our society, such as migrants. They demonstrate the potential and the importance of diversity and the role which multiculturalism plays in a community when we open the opportunities for it."
