Representatives of SCRM participated at this year’s Media Market held at the Belgrade Fair, in a panel discussion on "Media and Migrants" organized by the Media Research Center from Nis, within the project " Support to Migration Management in Serbia " funded by the Government of Switzerland and implemented by the Commissariat for Refugees and Migration.

Apart from the SCRM representative Svetlana Palic, Maria Haydari, a migrant from the Vranje Reception Center, journalist  from N1 Gordana Bjeletic, as well as the representative of the Swiss Cooperation Office Jovana Mihajlovic took part in a discussion on migration and media.

The speakers concluded that the media focus on the issues encountered by migrants in Serbia decereased. However, the significance of this topic is still present. They agreed that the migrants in Serbia need more than just food and accommodation and that it is necessary to consider potential solutions as well as media influence on this social phenomenon.
