The donation ceremony was held at the Library of RC Obrenovac, and beside the donor and the representatives of the Commissariat for Refugees and Migration, the Deputy City Secretary for Culture, Milan Lazovic, also attended the event.

Radovan Gajic, a Canadian citizen of Serbian origin, is himself a writer and poet. He has published three works of prose and 13 books of poetry. Since 2015 he has been the Vice President of the Serbian National Academy in Canada.

As announced, a donation of 3000 titles is just the first part. Mr Gajic is planning to donate additional 1000 titles to the library in RC Obrenovac.
