A Working Meeting on the progress of the Regional Housing Programme (RHP) on the territory of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina was held today in the Provincial Assembly in Novi Sad.

The Meeting was attended by the Commissioner for Refugees and Migration of the Republic of Serbia Vladimir Cucic, Provincial Secretary for Regional Development, Interregional Cooperation and Local Self-Government, Ognjen Bjelic, Head of the Department for Economic Multilateral in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Tasic, Provincial Secretary for Social Politics, Demography and Gender Equality, Predrag Vuletic, Stefan Selen from the Council of Europe Development Bank, Bojan Stevic, State Secretary of the Ministry of State Administration and Local Self-Government, John Clayton, Representative of the OSCE Mission to Serbia, The Director of the Fund for Assistance to Refugees, Expelled and Displaced Persons of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina, Dragan Katuca, Director of the Project Implementation Unit in Public Sector, representatives of local self-government units from the territory of Vojvodina and trustees.

Commissioner Cucic presented the overview of the RHP implementation on the territory of AP Vojvodina.

“Most municipalities are implementing it in a responsible manner and will be able to deliver, at least what is in their domain, but there are several municipalities and cities in Vojvodina that are definitely overdue and I truly do not know how we will be able to finish it. We are talking of nearly 200 apartments, about 100 village houses, packages of building material, that is more than 300 families, “ Commisioner Cucic stressed.

Representatives of local self-government units in Vojvodina had the opportunity to present the challenges they are facing while a separate meeting with the contractors was held as well.
