Таlented Sana Malikzai from Avghanistan, a fourth grader in “Vera Blagojevic” elementary school in Banja Koviljaca who lives with her family in the Center for Asylum, wrote the award-winning poem at this year’s Literary Contest „Gordana Brajovic.“ Her poem  „Мy Window“ was proclaimed the best among 200 literary works from her peers from 50 elementary schools throughout Serbia.

Two other kids from Sana’s class, Аtena Khorami from Iran and Djordje Negic, won second and third place, making their teacher Mirjana Mihok, the school and the entire community very proud.  The award ceremony is scheduled for the 25th of April in the village of Subotince near Aleksinac, where Gordana Brajovic was born.
